Nick Pentelichuk
President

Mr. Pentelichuk has more than 15 years of experience in Western Canada’s pipeline industry where he is successfully led major pipeline projects for industry-leading companies such as Spectra Energy, Enbridge Pipelines, TransCanada Pipelines, and Pembina.  Nick’s success in the industry comes from his desire and ability to expertly apply technical leadership, project management, and industry best practices. Mr. Pentelichuk holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and believes deeply in the importance of people and relationships in building thriving businesses.

 

Bernie Robert
Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Robert has over 25 years of senior executive experience, (CEO, COO and CFO) primarily in the construction and energy sectors having held senior roles in Keller Group plc, Keller Canada, North American Construction Group and Enbridge and has led organizations in both Public and Private ownership environments. His extensive leadership background in several areas includes identifying practical solutions to complex business challenges within the private sector including equipment, construction, manufacturing, and energy and resources. Mr. Robert is a professional accountant (CPA, CGA) and holds and ICD.D professional directors’ designation.

 

Ralph Wieler
Vice President, QHSE, HR

Mr. Wieler brings over 20 years of construction and operations experience in midstream, pipeline, field production, oilsands and petrochemical in domestic and U.S. oil and gas to the Nexar team. He leads the efforts to develop, maintain and improve quality, health, safety, and environmental programs to meet or exceed client, company, regulatory and industry best practices and regulations. His extensive experience enables Nexar to excel in building projects with a Quality focus and core value of “zero incidents”. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc.), certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Professional Biologist (P.Biol), ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.

 

Tyson Eckess
Vice President, Equipment

Mr. Eckess comes to Nexar after more than 15 years with a long-standing civil construction company where he excelled in equipment management, building vendor relationships, and also developed an appreciation for the qualities required of a good leader – drive, accountability, honesty, fairness, respect and caring – the core of Nexar’s values. He is a Certified Equipment Manager through the Association of Equipment Management Professionals and also holds certification in Organizational Leadership through Queens University and Business Leadership for Technical Professionals through the University of Alberta.

Greg Fontaine
Vice President, Mainline Projects

With a career in the oil and gas industry dating back to 1989, Greg brings to the table a broad spectrum of experience in pipeline construction. His proficiency extends across all dimensions of the trade, ranging from 2” to 48” pipe, and he is well-versed in both mechanical and civil execution. Greg's career is characterized by a solid track record of fostering growth. His business ethics are of an impeccable standard, and this quality is mirrored in his management style and in the business outcomes he consistently achieves. Not only is Greg a seasoned leader, but he is also a mentor. His guidance has been instrumental in the professional development of many, demonstrating his dedication to not only his own success but those around him.

 

Steve Zubkowski
Vice President, Energy Projects

Mr. Zubkowski started in pipeline and facility construction in 1988. He has held increasingly senior roles starting as a laborer and progressing to his current role of Vice President of Energy Projects. Safety and quality are his prime drivers as the safest projects also provide the best returns. Steven has experience working and managing projects across Canada and manages projects from inception to completion.

 

Khumbulani Ndebele
Controller

Mr. Ndebele comes to Nexar after over a decade in Public Accounting, most recently with PwC in Edmonton. Prior to entering the Public Accounting field, Mr. Ndebele held management positions at Africa Power & Light Company. A professional accountant (CPA, CA) Mr. Ndebele holds a degree in Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of Namibia as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Accounting Science from the University of South Africa.
